Ending war should ensure peace that will make it impossible for Russian aggression to repeat - Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the main criterion for ending the war is not the timing but the quality of the peace achieved.
He said this in an interview with Bloomberg, Censor.NET reports.
"For me, quality is important, not timing," Zelenskyy said, answering a question about the expected timing of the end of the war.
According to him, the timing is certainly important, because every day the conflict drags on brings new losses. "But above all, peace must be strong and fair," the President said.
"First of all, the peace must be such that Putin cannot return, and he wants it. He will not calm down until he is put in his place or until he destroys Ukraine," the head of state emphasized.
As a reminder, on January 22, Trump announced his readiness to impose high taxes, tariffs, and sanctions on Russian exports if an agreement is not reached soon to end the war in Ukraine.
