Russian Defense Ministry announced alleged destruction of 121 drones over 11 regions, Moscow, and occupied Crimea. VIDEO
Last night, Russian air defense systems allegedly intercepted and destroyed 121 Ukrainian UAVs.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
In particular, 37 drones were destroyed over the territory of the Bryansk region, 20 - over the territory of the Ryazan region, 17 - over the territory of the Kursk region, 17 - over the territory of Saratov region, seven - over the territory of Rostov region, six - over the territory of Moscow region, six - over the territory of Belgorod region, three - over the territory of Voronezh region, two - over the territory of Tula region, two - over the territory of Orel region, two - over the territory of Lipetsk region and one - over Moscow. Another drone was destroyed over the territory of occupied Crimea.
Airports were temporarily suspended due to the threat: Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, Vnukovo, as well as the air harbours of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Penza, Saratov, Ufa, and Samara.
As previously reported, the Ryazan region was attacked at midnight. There, drones hit a local oil refinery. Also, according to local Telegram channels, debris fell in a cottage village and on a thermal power plant next to the refinery.
The Saratov and Bryansk regions were loud last night. In Bryansk, the Kremniy El plant, one of the largest microelectronics manufacturers in Russia, was attacked. The company manufactures components for radars, electronic warfare systems, Iskanders, and Pantsyr air defense systems.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that air defense systems had shot down at least six drones flying toward Moscow over Troitskoye, Podolsk, Kolomna, and Shchelkovo.
