Zelenskyy held his first conversation with Lebanese President Aoun: He proposed establishing food hub in Lebanon
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had his first conversation with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
Zelenskyy said this in a telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"I had my first conversation with the President of Lebanon, General Joseph Aoun. I congratulated him on his election and wished stability and security to Lebanon and the entire Middle East," the message says.
The President thanked Lebanon for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"Despite Russian aggression, Ukraine remains a reliable guarantor of global food security. I proposed to create a food hub in Lebanon to support the country's population," Zelenskyy said.
The parties also discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the trade and economic sphere.
