As result of war with Russia, Ukraine has been thrown back 100 years - Rubio

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Ukraine is allegedly being turned "100 years back."
According to Censor.NET, Rubio said this in an interview with American journalist Megyn Kelly on January 30.
"Ukraine has been thrown back 100 years, its energy system has been destroyed. Someone will have to pay for the restoration of all this. And how many Ukrainians have left Ukraine and are now living in other countries? They may never come back. And that's the future, and it's in jeopardy," he said.
According to Rubio, the previous US administration convinced people to believe that Ukraine could "not just defeat Russia, but destroy it," return everything to the state of 2012 or 2014, and the continuation of the war, in his opinion, is destroying Ukraine.
"We're funding a stalemate, a prolonged conflict in which Ukraine is destroying itself and losing more and more territory," Rubio said.
The head of the US State Department said that it will not be easy for Volodymyr Zelenskyy to make concessions to resolve the conflict, but he must "accept the reality of the situation."
To recap, Rubio also said that neither Ukraine nor Russia is likely to be able to achieve their "maximalist goals" at the end of the war. It will take a lot of effort to achieve peace.
