I am already in very serious negotiations with Russia to end war in Ukraine - Trump

US President Donald Trump said he has already begun "very serious" discussions with Russia about ending the war.
He told reporters about this in the Oval Office of the White House, Censor.NET reports.
The Republican also announced a conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
"I'll talk to Putin and I think we can probably do something significant," Trump said.
He did not specify what exactly, but reiterated his intention to put an end to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
In addition, he said that the Panama Canal "will definitely come under the control of the United States".
Trump also said that the US does not expect concessions from Canada or Mexico, but will "just see what happens".
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that if US President Donald Trump wanted to force Putin to end the war, he could well achieve this.
