New program of instructor training for training centers of Armed Forces is being implemented, - Syrskyi

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi held a meeting on improving the quality of training in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He announced this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
According to him, an analysis of the level of training of graduates of training centers who have completed a longer course of basic general military training - lasting 1.5 months (instead of 30 days, as it was before).
At this stage, there is feedback from the brigades on improving the readiness of new recruits.
"We will continue to implement this positive practice and strengthen it with a further adaptive course in military units. At the same time, the level of psychological training leaves much to be desired. I emphasized the need to strengthen this area of work," said Syrskyi.
In addition, according to him, a new instructor training program is being implemented, with an increase in the training period from 1 to 2 months, strengthening the content of this program and the methodology for training instructors.
"We have a good feedback on the progress and results of another experiment - the basic combined arms training (hereinafter referred to as BCT) on the basis of combat units. I heard a report from the commander of one of the mechanized brigades on the passage of the new recruits' basic training at its rear training grounds," he adds.
Commenting on the conclusions, Syrskyi noted that conducting the BMT course at the brigade's facilities allows for a higher level of training. This makes it possible to conduct on-site quality control; to strengthen skills in working with weapons and military equipment; to improve teamwork and adoption of military traditions of the military unit; and to significantly reduce cases of UAP during training.
"This is another example of successful experience that should be implemented on a regular basis. We will scale it up. At the same time, I listened to suggestions and problematic issues that arise in the training process. In particular, it concerns the staffing of groups of instructors in brigades and strengthening their work, involving them in training centers.
The proposals have been taken into account in the 5th edition of the BMT program, developed with the participation of my deputy colonel Oleh Apostol. He is in close cooperation with commanders on the ground, which allows us to identify mistakes, implement worthwhile proposals, and scale up the best practices of brigades and training centers," the Commander-in-Chief summarizes.
