Musk said that the agency "cannot be restored".
"This agency cannot be saved," the billionaire said.
He added that US President Donald Trump agrees with the need to eliminate USAID. According to him, this is part of the US government's cost-cutting initiative.
The day before, billionaire Elon Musk, who was appointed by President Donald Trump to head the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), accused the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) of funding research into "biological weapons, including COVID-19."
