Zelenskyy discusses military aid and increased pressure on Russia with Australian Prime Minister

Australia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albenizi.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the presidential press service.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Anthony Albenizi discussed future contacts with partners, primarily the United States, and possible formats of cooperation with other leaders to put joint pressure on Russia. Separately, the President emphasized that holding any potential negotiations without Ukraine was dangerous for everyone.

"Ukraine's priority is reliable security guarantees, strengthening our state and forcing Russia to end the war and establish a just and lasting peace," Zelenskyy said. According to him, it is important to continue to put pressure on Russia and Putin, in particular to strengthen sanctions, especially against the shadow tanker fleet, which allows the aggressor state to finance the war.

During the conversation, the parties also discussed accelerating the delivery of the already announced support package and continuing defense assistance, direct investment in the Ukrainian defense industry and military-technical cooperation.

Special attention was paid to the fate of Australian citizen and volunteer Oscar Jenkins, who was captured by Russia. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine was ready to make the necessary efforts to establish all the circumstances.
