On the night of Wednesday, 5 February 2025, an oil depot caught fire in the Krasnodar Krai (Russia) as a result of a drone attack.

This was announced by the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratiev, Censor.NET reports.

He claimed that Russian air defence allegedly repelled the attack and that the fire was caused by falling debris.

"In the village of Novominskaya, Kanev district, the wreckage of a UAV fell on a tank with minor oil residues. A fire broke out and was assigned the second level of difficulty," Kondratiev said.

Local residents told ASTRA that the "Albashnafta" oil depot was attacked, and the fire is still raging as of 6:15 a.m. Moscow time.

Earlier, Censor.NET reported that an oil depot in the Tula region was on fire after a drone attack.
