ICC Prosecutor Khan, who issued Putin’s arrest warrant, is on Trump’s sanctions list - Reuters

Kareem Khan is on Donald Trump’s sanctions list

U.S. President Donald Trump is going to impose sanctions on the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Kareem Khan, who investigated Russia's war crimes and filed arrest warrants for Kremlin head Vladimir Putin.

According to Censor.NET, Reuters reports this with reference to two interlocutors, one of whom is a senior ICC official.

According to the interlocutors, Khan's name was listed on Friday, February 7, in an appendix - not yet made public - to the decree signed by Trump a day earlier.

The sanctions include a freeze on the US assets of those on the list and a ban on entry to the US for them and their families.

Journalists write that the prosecutor became the first person on this sanctions list. The full list is to be submitted within 60 days by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in consultation with Secretary of State Mark Rubio.

As a reminder, the governing body of the International Criminal Court will launch an external investigation into ICC Chief Prosecutor Kareem Khan. He was accused of sexual harassment.
