Zelenskyy wants Trump to meet with him first and then with Putin

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that he should first meet with US President Donald Trump, and only after that should he meet with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
He said this in an interview with Reuters, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
The president stressed that meeting with Donald Trump before his meeting with Putin "is very important, otherwise it will be a dialogue about Ukraine without Ukraine."
"I think that, firstly, it is not fair to Ukraine. Secondly, (such a meeting with Putin - Ed.) will have no real prospects for ending the war. Even the end of the hot phase of this war. It is important for partners to discuss their issues first, and only then have a conversation with the enemy. I think that this is the context in which we should act," Zelenskyy said.
He noted that there are voices in the United States, in Europe and in Ukraine that say that President Trump has already agreed on everything with Putin, and Ukraine will only be notified later.
"This will not happen, I am sure of it. You need to understand that Ukraine is going to negotiate, not to accept ultimatums from Russia," the head of state said.
As a reminder, on February 7, US President Donald Trump said that he was likely to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy next week. Zelenskyy later announced talks with Trump's team.
