Ukraine wants to become gas hub for US liquefied natural gas, - Zelenskyy

Ukraine wants to sign contracts with partners for the supply of liquefied natural gas from the United States through LNG terminals. Our country is also ready to become a hub for its transportation to the EU.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Reuters, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"We have our own natural gas and oil, but we are ready and willing to have contracts for the supply of LNG to Ukraine via LNG from the United States. And we will be a hub for the whole of Europe. Why? Because we already have an industrially and naturally prepared hub - our gas pipeline network," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He also noted that Ukraine has the largest gas storage facility in Europe, which was previously used by a large number of European countries.
The President emphasized that American LNG is a market-based relationship, unlike Russian gas, which is often used as a political tool of influence.
"We are in favor of LNG supplies, because there is a market price, and no one is taking your country away. These are correct, contractual relations with our partners," Zelenskyy added.
According to the president, the Ukrainian team is already discussing this issue with the Trump administration, which supports such initiatives.
