Chairman of NATO Military Committee Cavo Dragonet in Kyiv: Ukraine remains at forefront of NATO’s priorities

The North Atlantic Alliance is committed to working with Ukraine to learn the lessons of Russia's aggressive war. First of all, NATO supports Ukraine in achieving victory in the war and preserving its sovereignty.
According to Censor.NET, this was stated by the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Giuseppe Cavo Dragonet, in his address recorded by Ukrinform.
Dragone emphasized that at this key moment, Ukraine remains at the forefront of NATO's priorities.
Commenting on ways to support Ukraine, he mentioned the agreement to provide €40 billion in security assistance made at the Washington Summit, noting that the Alliance is on track to fulfill this commitment.
The Admiral also noted the establishment of the NATO Special Security Assistance and Training Mission to Ukraine and the NATO-Ukraine Joint Training and Analysis Center, as well as the work of the Security Assistance and Training Mission to Ukraine and the establishment of the first-ever NATO-Ukraine Joint Activity Center (JATEC), which seeks to jointly identify and incorporate lessons from Russia's brutal war of aggression.
"These lessons will help us shape our understanding of war. They will be woven into NATO's strategy and policy and will contribute to interoperability. Above all, they support Ukraine in achieving victory in the war and preserving its sovereignty," the Chairman of the Military Committee assured.
"It is in the political and military interests of the Alliance to support Ukraine not only now but also in the future. You are fighting not only for your nation. You are fighting for your identity. And NATO stands with you. Our support for your sovereignty and territorial integrity will remain unwavering," added Mr. Dragonne, emphasizing that "together we can put Ukraine in the strongest possible position to move forward."
He condemned Russia for its atrocities committed in this unprovoked war, such as the siege of Mariupol, the shootings and torture in Bucha, and the devastation of Irpin, and called every missile fired at Ukrainian cities a crime against humanity.
As a reminder, the newly appointed Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragonet, visited Ukraine on February 7 and held talks with Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga.
