Trump wants to reach agreement with Iran to maintain its non-nuclear status

US President Trump

US President Donald Trump expects to be able to reach an agreement with Iran and convince Tehran to abandon its nuclear program.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to The New York Post.

Trump noted that he has plans for a "deal" with Iran to keep it non-nuclear.

"I like this option better than bombing the hell out of them... They don't want to die. No one wants to die. If we reach an agreement, Israel will not bomb them," he said.

However, Trump did not comment on how he plans to negotiate with Tehran.

"I would not like to say what I am going to tell them. That's not a good thing... I could say (in future talks - Ed.) what I have to say to them, and I hope they decide not to do what they're thinking of doing. And I think they will be really happy," Trump said.
