Russia is disconnected from Europe’s energy network - Sybiha

Following the successful connection of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to the European energy system, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called on European partners to make Russia pay for using energy as a weapon.
He wrote about this on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.
The minister called for Russia's "disconnection" from the European energy market, emphasizing the need to replace Russian energy with resources from the United States and other partners.
"It's time to make Russia pay for years of using energy as a weapon. "Disconnect Russian liquefied natural gas, the shadow fleet, and nuclear power from Europe. Replace Russian energy with energy from the United States and other partners. Store American liquefied natural gas in the largest underground storage facilities in Europe in Ukraine. We have all the infrastructure for this," Sybiha wrote.
According to him, the policy of zero dependence on Russia should become a strategic goal for the whole of Europe.
As a reminder, on February 8, all the Baltic states disconnected from the energy system shared with Russia and Belarus. For two days, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia had to work in isolation from the Russian-Belarusian grid to test all systems.
On February 9, the Baltic states synchronized with the European energy system.
After the Baltic countries' power systems are synchronized with continental Europe, Russia's Kaliningrad region will be in energy isolation, operating without external connections to other power grids.
