Transition of Armed Forces to corps system will allow soldiers to be more effective on battlefield - Palisa

The transition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a corps system of command will allow our army to be more effective at the front.
This was stated on television by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Armed Forces Colonel Pavlo Palisa, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"There is a detailed plan that has been developed by the General Staff. ...In my opinion, the transition to the corps system is long overdue. This is... not just a requirement of the time, it will give us the opportunity to be more effective on the battlefield in terms of management and more efficient use of resources," Palisa said.
He emphasized that the stronger the team, the better the communication and understanding between all levels - both commanders and staffs - the more efficient the unit, formation and grouping.
According to him, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Deputy Commander-in-Chief Colonel Oleh Apostol are currently working on a program of basic military training to correct shortcomings and take into account the advice of military unit and brigade commanders to adapt it to modern requirements.
As a reminder, on February 3, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the plan for the transition to a new organizational structure of the Armed Forces and the creation of corps had already been approved.
