In the Lyman direction, the enemy has resumed mechanised assaults within the area of responsibility of the 60th Separate Mechanised Inhulets Brigade.
This was reported on the official telegram channel of the Khortytsia penitentiary institution, Censor.NET reports.
The enemy attacked with several IFVs with troops. The assault took place according to the traditional scheme - the armoured vehicles were thrown closer to the Ukrainian positions of infantrymen, who are usually used as "cannon fodder" for assaults. After that, the occupiers tried to attack the positions of our troops and firing points of the Defence Forces.
As a result, the armoured vehicles were hit and destroyed, and the remnants of the enemy landing party were eliminated.
"The enemy's mechanised assault was repelled. This was done by joint and coordinated actions of artillery, a battalion of unmanned aerial vehicles and infantry," the soldiers said.
