Rubio: There is still long way to go to just end war in Ukraine

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that there is a long way to go to end the war and achieve a just peace in Ukraine.
He said this at a briefing, Censor.NET reports.
Rubio called the Russian invasion of Ukraine "a complex and difficult conflict," and it's not just about ending the war, but also about ensuring that Russian aggression doesn't return two years later.
The president [Donald Trump] has made it clear that he wants to end it because there are a lot of people dying and a lot of destruction, but it's about a just ending where Ukraine remains a sovereign and independent state. And we can put an end to this very expensive and destructive conflict. We will have to go a long way to do so. It will not be easy," he emphasized.
The Secretary of State noted that many people are already working to end the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Rubio added that Vice President J.D. Vance, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessette, and Defense Secretary Pete Hagel have already arrived in Europe. Soon, Rubio himself will arrive there to "talk to Ukrainians" and Europeans.
