Drone was discovered near border with Ukraine in Moldova
On Wednesday, February 12, an unknown drone was discovered in Moldova. The drone was found near the border with Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Moldovan police.
According to Moldovan law enforcement officials, on February 12, a drone was spotted in a field near the town of Salcha, Taraclia district.
"The territory is isolated, it is to be examined in detail by specialists of the explosive department. After a preliminary inspection, it was found that there were no explosives in the drone," the statement said.
The police state that there are no risks or threats to the safety of Salcha residents, and an investigation is underway.
As a reminder, this is an isolated incident of drones being found in Moldova following Russian attacks on Ukraine. On February 3, a drone intruded into Moldova's airspace."
