Starmer to visit Washington next week to meet with Trump

The office of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has confirmed that he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump next week during his visit to Washington.
This is reported by Sky News, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that the information about the meeting was confirmed as Starmer downplayed any disagreements with the United States over Ukraine and European security after Trump began talks with Russia and said that Europe should take more responsibility for its own defense.
Starmer's spokesman spoke about the topics on the agenda of the meeting with Trump.
"There will be a wide range of issues that we will work on with the new US administration. The prime minister looks forward to meeting with President Trump to discuss how we can deepen our special relationship in trade, investment and security," he said.
The day before, Starmer said that the UK was ready to send troops to Ukraine to provide security guarantees.
