Duda after his meeting with Kellogg: US assured that it will not reduce number of troops in Eastern Europe

Duda says the US will not reduce its presence in Europe

Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the US side assured him that it had no intention of reducing the number of its troops in Eastern Europe.

The Polish leader said this during a meeting with US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg, Reuters reports, Censor.NET reports.

"We have been assured that there are absolutely no American intentions to reduce activity here in our part of Europe, especially in terms of security, reducing the number of American soldiers," Duda said.

His statement came amid fears in Europe that the United States will soon reduce its military presence on the continent after the Donald Trump administration came to power.
