U.S. President Donald Trump intends to push negotiations to end the war in Ukraine very quickly.
This was stated by Trump's National Security Advisor Mike Waltz in an interview with CNN and AP after a meeting with a Russian delegation in Saudi Arabia, Censor.NET reports.
The American official noted that Trump is taking all steps to end the war and establish peace.
"President Trump is determined to act very quickly. We have just had a phone conversation with the head of state, the first in many years, and here we are - in less than a week - meeting at the highest level of the US and Russian governments," Waltz said.
As a reminder, on February 18, delegations from the United States and Russia met in Saudi Arabia.
Fox News reported that Russia and the United States are proposing a three-stage peace plan, including a ceasefire, elections in Ukraine, and then the signing of a final agreement.
