"Comedian Zelenskyy is dictator without elections" - Trump

In a new statement, US President Donald Trump called Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy a "dictator without elections" because he allegedly convinced America to "spend $350 billion on the war."

He wrote about this on his social network Truth Social, Censor.NET reports.

Trump called Zelenskyy a "moderately successful comedian" who allegedly "persuaded" the United States to spend $350 billion to help Ukraine, which is allegedly $200 billion more than Europe.

"In addition, Zelenskyy admits that half of the money we sent him has 'disappeared'. He refuses to hold elections, has a very low rating in Ukrainian polls, and the only thing he is good at is playing Biden "like a violin," the White House chief of staff writes.

Trump advised Zelenskyy to "act quickly" because, he said, "otherwise he will have no country left."

He also recalled the US-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia, calling them successful and something that "only Trump and the Trump administration can do."

"Biden didn't even try, Europe failed to bring peace, and Zelenskyy apparently wants the 'cash flow' to continue. I love Ukraine, but Zelenskyy has done a terrible job, his country is shattered, and millions of people have died needlessly," Trump summarized.

Trump's statements about Zelenskyy's rating

As a reminder, the day before, Trump said that Ukraine needs to hold elections because Zelenskyy's approval rating has dropped to 4%.

As of the first half of February 2025, 57% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while 37% do not, according to a KIIS study.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the statements about his 4% rating disinformation.
