Norway’s Prime Minister Støre talks about Trump’s statement: Calling Zelenskyy ’dictator’ is groundless

Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has called US President Donald Trump's statement that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a "deeply baseless" dictator without elections "deeply baseless."
This is reported by NRK, Censor.NET informs.
"I think it's deeply unreasonable and baseless. This is a popularly elected president with an overwhelming majority of votes who was caught in the middle of a full-scale war," said Støre.
The Minister was also supported by the Norwegian opposition.
"This is dangerous and outright false on the part of President Trump. It is sad to realize that there are almost no common values left on the other side of the Atlantic. It is now clear that Trump wants Putin to win," said Liberal Party leader Guri Melby.
"The only right thing for Norway to do now is to increase our support for Ukraine, modernize our own defense and build closer ties with Europe," she added.
Trump's statements about Zelenskyy's rating
As a reminder, the day before, Trump said that Ukraine needs to hold elections because Zelenskyy's approval rating has dropped to 4%.
As of the first half of February 2025, 57% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while 37% do not, according to a KIIS study.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the statements about his 4% rating disinformation.
