Over UAH 44 billion to be allocated for purchase of FPV drones, including fibre optics - Defence Ministry

In 2025, the Ministry of Defence plans to allocate more than UAH 44 billion for the purchase of FPV drones, including fibre-optic drones.
This was reported by the Ministry's press service, Censor.NET informs.
Thus, the issues of scaling up the production and supply of unmanned systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as simplifying bureaucratic procedures, which will allow for faster integration of new models of drones into the troops, were discussed at the presentation.
"Ensuring technological superiority over the enemy is one of the key tasks for 2025. While last year the main financial resource was spent on the purchase of long-range deepstrike drones, this year more than UAH 44 billion is planned for the purchase of FPVs, including fibre-optic models," said Hlib Kanevskyi, Director of the Defence Ministry's Procurement Policy Department.
They also discussed reducing the delivery time of drones from production to combat units, as well as expanding the range of suppliers and manufacturers of defence products.
