Since beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, US Congress has allocated approximately $183 billion to support Ukraine. This is significantly less than Trump claimed - "Voice of America"

US aid to Ukraine

US data do not confirm US President Donald Trump's claims about spending on Ukraine.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the "Voice of America", citing data from an interagency oversight group.

As the Pentagon confirmed, $65.9 billion of this amount was allocated directly for military aid to Ukraine, while another $3.9 billion remained unspent. In addition, about $58 billion was used in the US to develop the US defence industry. These funds were spent on replacing old weapons transferred to Ukraine with new ones, as well as on the production of new weapons for Kyiv.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently said that the total cost of the war with Russia is estimated at around $320 billion.

"Of this, $120 billion is paid by us, the people of Ukraine, taxpayers, and $200 billion by the United States and the European Union. This is the cost of weapons. This is an arms package - $320 billion," Zelenskyy said.

At the same time, Trump claimed that the United States had spent $200 billion more than Europe and that Ukraine had pledged to return the money to Europe, while the United States ‘will get nothing.’

According to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, the EU, the UK, Iceland, Norway, and Switzerland have allocated about $140 billion in aid to Ukraine, while the total amount of US aid (military, humanitarian, and financial) is approximately $120 billion.

Liana Fix, an expert at the Council on Foreign Relations for European Affairs, also refuted Trump's statement, stressing that his figure was not true.

Earlier, Trump said that the United States had already allocated about $350 billion in aid to Ukraine, but the lack of reporting on the use of these funds was worrying.
