Russia’s ultimate goal is to wipe Ukraine off map, - Pavel
President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel said that Russia's main goal is to erase Ukraine from the world map, emphasizing the invincibility of the Ukrainian people.
He emphasized this during the plenary session "Support Ukraine", Censor.NET reports.
"For all these three long years, when the Russian Federation has unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine, I have no doubt that the ultimate goal of this aggression is to wipe Ukraine off the map. I want to say that Ukrainians are unbreakable. They deserve not only our help but also our admiration," Pavel said.
The Czech President emphasized that any peace agreements must be acceptable to Ukraine and must be concluded with its participation. It is important that every negotiation begins with a clear recognition of the aggressor and the victim, without any ambiguity.
"Peace that is built on the humiliation of the victim, when we reward Russia for its aggression, will not be true peace, but betrayal," Pavel emphasized.
Pavel also emphasized the legitimacy of Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the democratically elected president of Ukraine, noting that his leadership is the basis for the country's stability and resilience.
"Without peace in Ukraine, there can be no lasting peace in Europe. We need to come together and act now. Deterring Russia is the only way to move forward," he said.
