Putin says he is ready to cut Russia’s military budget
Russian President Vladimir Putin has supported US President Donald Trump's idea to halve defence spending by Russia, the US and China and said he was ready to cut his country's military budget.
According to Censor.NET, citing DW, Putin said this in an interview with the Russian TV channel.
"But we could come to an agreement with the United States, we don't mind. I think it's a good idea: The United States would cut by 50 per cent, and we would cut by 50 per cent. And the People's Republic of China would then join in if they wanted to. We believe that the proposal is good and we are ready to discuss it," Putin said.
As a reminder, Russia is ready to offer the United States to work with rare earth metals in Russia and the occupied territories of Ukraine, as well as to develop aluminium together.
