Trump has plan for Russia - Duda

Duda says Ukraine needs support for economic recovery

US President Donald Trump has a plan to negotiate with Russia to resolve the war in Ukraine.

According to Censor.NET, citing RAR, Polish President Andrzej Duda said this in an interview with Polsat News.

"Putin cannot ignore what Trump says to him because he commands his respect. The potential of the United States is much greater than that of Russia. I am convinced that President Trump has a plan," Duda said.

The Polish president noted that during a one-on-one conversation, the US president told him that he had to stop the war in Ukraine and stop the killing of people. He added that he considers the United States a reliable ally, and history, he said, shows that the United States is capable of resolving any conflict.

"During his first term, Trump pursued a policy that blocked Russia's imperial ambitions," Duda explained.

Duda said that he also warned Trump about the specifics of negotiations with Putin.

"I told President Trump that these are difficult negotiations, everyone knows that Putin is not an ordinary politician, he is a KGB officer, an officer of the Russian special services - educated, trained, with special skills, and one should be careful when talking to him," the Polish president said.

As a reminder, Trump refused to call Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin a dictator, as he recently said about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
