Chief of Staff Azov Krotevych

As noted, Krotevych joined Azov in 2014 and rose through the ranks from infantryman to platoon commander. He participated in key ATO/JFO combat operations and contributed to the unit's development. In 2021, he became the Chief of Staff of Azov.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, Tavr played a key role in commanding the defense of Mariupol.

Following his return from captivity in September 2022, Krotevych began rebuilding the unit's combat capability and expanding it into the 12th Azov Brigade. He coordinated the brigade's actions during battles in the Zaporizhzhia direction as part of the summer counteroffensive of 2023.

Upon resuming his duties as the brigade's Chief of Staff, Tavr made significant efforts to ensure Azov's successful defense and counteroffensive operations in the Kreminna and Toretsk directions.
