Zelenskyy awarded title of Hero of Ukraine to military Vladyslav Stotskyi, who held line surrounded by occupiers for 67 days

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to three soldiers of the Freedom Battalion of the 4th Rubizh Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine who fought for 67 days surrounded by the enemy to stop the Russian offensive on the city of Siversk. One of them was honored posthumously.
This is stated in the relevant decree published on the website of the head of state, Censor.NET reports.
"For personal courage and heroism displayed in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, I hereby decree: to award the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star to Stotskyi Vladyslav Volodymyrovych, Senior Lieutenant," the decree reads.
And also to senior soldier Omelianenko Roman Volodymyrovych.
"For personal courage and heroism displayed in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, I hereby decree: to award the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star to Omelianenko Roman Volodymyrovych, a senior soldier," the decree reads.
The title of Hero of Ukraine was also awarded to senior soldier Khomiak Oleksandr Viktorovych (posthumously).
"For personal courage and heroism displayed in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people, I hereby decree: to award the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star to KHOMIAK Oleksandr Viktorovych - senior soldier (posthumously)," the decree reads.
