Starmer advises Zelenskyy to restore relations with Trump and sign minerals deal - FT

Following the spat between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer advised Zelenskyy to improve relations with Trump.
According to Censor.NET, unnamed British officials told the Financial Times about this.
"The Prime Minister's priority is to do everything possible to protect Ukraine. This means that the US must be involved. You (Zelenskyy - Ed.) have to fix this relationship and return to the minerals agreement," the source was quoted as saying.
It is also recalled that after meeting with Zelenskyy on Saturday, Starmer called Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron and that the talks were "focused on moving forward".
One of Starmer's associates told the FT that the prime minister is convinced that "there is only one negotiator and that is President Trump". Therefore, Starmer called on Trump and Zelenskyy to finalise the deal to "allow the US to share in some of Ukraine's mineral wealth".
The article also focuses on the fact that Macron called on the US and Ukrainian presidents to forget about their differences, adding that "Europe still needs Trump to help ensure peace".
