The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is heading to London to express Europe's continued support for Ukraine, which could lead to just and lasting peace in the country.

She announced this on the social network X before a meeting of international leaders in the British capital, Censor.NET reports.

"I am going to London to show Europe's continued support for Ukraine, which can lead to a just and lasting peace in Ukraine," she wrote.

"The path to peace is strength. Weakness gives rise to new wars," she emphasized.

"We will support Ukraine while dramatically strengthening European defense," Ursula von der Leyen added.
