Trump’s team has been in contact with Zelenskyy after dispute

After the dispute at the White House on 28 February, representatives of the Trump team held talks with Volodymyr Zelenskyy to resume negotiations.

This was reported by CNN, Censor.NET informs.

Thus, the publication's sources said that the US stressed the importance of stabilising relations as soon as possible. They assured that the dialogue should be resumed before Trump's speech in the US Congress.

CNN writes that Trump's representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, spoke with Zelenskyy, among others.

The source said that the minerals agreement has not been signed, but the US believes that negotiations are ‘moving in the right direction’.

Donald Trump said that he had received an ‘important letter’ from Volodymyr Zelenskyy about his intention to sign a deal on fossil fuels and his willingness to come to the negotiating table to bring a lasting peace closer. At the same time, he noted that his administration was in serious discussions with the Russian side. Trump stressed that he had received ‘strong signals that they (Russians - Ed.) are ready for peace’.
