Peace is impossible if Ukrainians are not ready to negotiate in good faith - Vance

US Vice President J.D. Vance made a statement about peace talks before Trump's speech to Congress.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to CNN.
"The President (Trump. - Ed.) has made a clear statement about our policy in Ukraine. He wants the Ukrainians to sit down at the negotiating table. We want Ukraine to be a sovereign and independent state. We believe that the Ukrainian troops fought bravely, but neither Europe, nor the United States, nor Ukraine can wage this war indefinitely," he said.
According to Vance, it is important that everyone sits down at the negotiating table.
"The president is trying to send a clear signal: Ukrainians need to sit down at the table and start negotiations with President Trump. We are not insisting on any particular path. We are just saying that peace is impossible if Ukrainians are not willing to negotiate in good faith. And so far they have not been able to, they have not wanted to. Hopefully, that will change," the US vice president concluded.
