59 combat engagements took place in frontline, most of them in Kursk and Pokrovsk directions – General Staff

Since the beginning of the day, as of 4 p.m., 59 combat engagements have taken place at the front.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Today, the areas of Khrinivka and Yasna Polyana in the Chernihiv region and Tymofiivka in the Kharkiv region suffered from enemy artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation.

Hostilities in the Kharkiv region

The battle in the Kharkiv direction continues, with Russian occupiers trying to break through the defensive lines of the Ukrainian army in the direction of Vovchansk. The situation is under the control of the Defense Forces, our defenders are giving a decent fight back to the Russian invaders.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units once near the village of Holubivka, but our defenders successfully stopped the enemy's attempts to advance.

Hostilities in Donbas

Today, in the Lyman direction, the invading army launched five attacks on Ukrainian positions near Novomykhailivka and Nove. Four combat engagements are currently ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Oleksandro-Shultyne and Predtechyne, with one combat engagement still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, Russians tried to force our units out of their positions in the areas of Toretsk, Dachne and Dyliivka, where the Defense Forces repelled nine attacks by Russian units, three more firefights are still ongoing.

Since the beginning of the day in the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy has made 11 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Pishchane, Kotlyne, Bohdanivka, Kotlyarivka and Andriivka. The defense forces are holding back the attack and repelled all enemy attacks. The occupiers launched air strikes with guided bombs in the areas of Zelene Pole, Pokrovsk, Chunyshyne and Oleksiivka. The enemy's losses are being clarified.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian troops repelled two attacks by the occupation army in the vicinity of Kostiantynopol and Burlatske. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinity of Odradne and Vesele.

Hostilities in the south

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy launched air strikes on the settlements of Huliaipole, Shevchenko, Zaliznychne and Novopil.

In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders successfully repelled an enemy attack in the direction of Kamianske.

AFU Operation in the Kursk Region of the RF

In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight invaders' attacks, and four more combat engagements are ongoing. In addition, the enemy fired 226 artillery shells at the positions of our troops and settlements, including six from multiple launch rocket systems, and launched seven air strikes, dropping 14 guided bombs.
