UK signs £30 million agreement for supply of strike drones to Ukraine

Britain to buy 30 million pounds worth of attack drones for Ukraine

The United Kingdom and the Anglo-American defense technology company Anduril have signed an agreement that will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine obtain more advanced attack UAVs to combat Russian aggression in the Black Sea.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the British government's website.

It is noted that the deal was agreed on the eve of a meeting between British Defense Secretary John Healey and his American counterpart Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon.

Healy also visited Anduril, a company that supplies drones, in Washington.

What do the contracts provide for?

The new contracts, worth almost £30 million (over $38.6 million), will see Anduril supply the latest Altius 600m and Altius 700m drones, which are designed to monitor the terrain before striking targets.

We are determined to achieve a secure and lasting peace in Ukraine, and that means Ukraine must take the strongest possible position to prevent any return of Russian aggression," said Healey.

The work with Anduril UK was led by Defence Equipment & Support, the procurement arm of the Ministry of Defense, on behalf of the UK-led International Fund for Ukraine (IFU).

When will the Armed Forces receive drones?

As noted, the Armed Forces will receive drones, launchers and spare parts in the coming months.
