Trump on status of Ukrainian refugees in US: We don’t want to harm anyone

US President Donald Trump has said that a decision on the status of Ukrainian refugees will be made in the near future.

Trump stressed that his administration ‘does not plan to harm anyone’, there are those who favour deportation, but there are also those who oppose it. He stressed that he would make a decision on this issue in the near future.

"Well, we don't want to harm anyone. And I am looking at this. And some people think it's appropriate, and some people don't. And I'll make a decision pretty soon, but we're not considering it, especially the Ukrainians, who have been through a lot," the US president said.

Earlier, Reuters reported, citing a senior Trump official and three sources familiar with the matter, that the administration of US President Donald Trump plans to cancel the temporary legal status of about 240,000 Ukrainians who fled the war to the United States.
