Enemy has decreased its activity in border areas, except for Sumy region – OTGT "Siversk"

Over the past week, the enemy's activity in the border areas has decreased, but intense shelling and tension continue in the Sumy region, where the enemy continues to fire and use sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Siversk operational and tactical group of troops (OTGT), Colonel Vadym Mysnyk, Censor.NET reports.
"The area of responsibility of our group includes Chernihiv, Sumy, and part of Kharkiv regions. The enemy continues to shell the border every day, but as it happened before - in waves of several days, there was a significant increase or decrease by 2-2.5 times - now we have noted for the sixth day that the activity is very low in border shelling."
However, as the colonel noted, the situation in the Sumy region remained tense, where the enemy continues to use various tactics to create tension at the border to prevent the Defense Forces from moving units to hotter areas of the front. Mysnyk also reported that enemy forces are actively using mortars, although the use of FPV drones and drone strikes has significantly decreased.
The enemy continues to use sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) to test the weaknesses of the defense, in particular, along the border with Sumy region, both professional special forces and conventional infantry groups are observed trying to destabilize the situation in the region.
"There are different groups, because there are enough professional special forces along the border who specialize in such activities, but where the enemy has the highest concentration of troops in the areas bordering the Kursk operation, infantry units, ordinary infantry groups are trying to test the strength of our defense," said Mysnyk.
Regarding drone attacks, Mysnyk confirmed that the enemy launches dozens of attack UAVs every day, most of which have been destroyed. At the same time, territories in the border areas are being actively mined and landmines are being scattered, which adds additional difficulties for the Defense Forces, which ensure security in these areas.
