Poland and Ukraine to cooperate closely on drone production: Polish army should be armed with something modern – Tusk

Tusk: Poland, Ukraine to cooperate closely on drone production

Poland will cooperate with Ukrainians, in particular, in the production of drones, so that the Polish army is armed with something modern that can be adapted to the existing needs on the battlefield.

According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said this in the Sejm during a speech on the international situation and security of Poland after the European Council summit and a meeting of leaders of several countries in London.

According to Tusk, as of today, purchasing only conventional weapons is no longer sufficient.

"The battlefield is changing every month before our eyes. We will also cooperate with Ukrainians who are ready for intensive cooperation, for example, when it comes to drones, so that the Polish army will be armed with something modern, which can be adapted to the existing needs on the battlefield, not in years, but in months," Tusk said.

He noted that Poland will continue to implement the previously signed contracts with the United States and South Korea to obtain traditional weapons, but will also work towards modern solutions related to obtaining non-traditional weapons and providing a "nuclear umbrella" over the country.
