As a result of Russian shelling during the day on March 7, five people were killed and nine others were injured in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, Censor.NET reports .

The Russian invaders attacked Ivanopillia, Yablunivka, Kostiantynopil, Pokrovsk, Droysheve and Dobropillia.

"The armed forces of the aggressor state dropped two aerial bombs, probably "FAB-250" with a UMPC (Universal Planning and Correction Module) on the village of Ivanopillia. An 89-year-old resident sustained life-threatening injuries under the rubble of a destroyed house. Four other men aged 43, 57, 62 and 75 sustained fatal injuries in Pokrovsk and the villages of Yablunivka and Kostiantynopil," the agency said.

In addition, five local residents were wounded in the above-mentioned settlements as a result of Russian air and artillery strikes on residential buildings. These are women aged 47, 55, 63 and 80 and a 76-year-old man. They were diagnosed with mine-blast traumas and shrapnel wounds.

In addition, according to the prosecutor's office, as a result of the attack by Russian troops on the village of Drobysheve, three more people sustained shrapnel wounds and contusions: a 65-year-old man, his wife of 58 years, and a 75-year-old pensioner. A man in Dobropillya was also injured by Russian shelling.

The Russian shelling damaged private houses, cars, and a gas pipeline.

Pre-trial investigations have been initiated in criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the occupiers (Article 438(1) and (2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
