Ukraine will propose ceasefire in sky and at sea during talks with US in Jeddah - media

Media coverage of Ukraine-US talks in Saudi Arabia

During the talks with the United States in Saudi Arabia, the Ukrainian delegation will propose the establishment of a ceasefire at sea, a ban on long-range strikes against Russia, and insist on the release of prisoners.

According to Censor.NET, a source familiar with the delegation's position told Suspilne.

"This can be implemented quickly and controlled," the source said.

Ukraine is also ready to sign an agreement on rare earth minerals during the meeting.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the first steps to establish peace should be a ban on the use of missiles, long-range drones and bombs, as well as silence at sea.

Earlier, representatives of the Trump administration said that the Ukrainian president, in addition to signing an agreement on rare earth minerals, must demonstrate his readiness for peace, in which case the United States will resume military aid to Ukraine.

March 8 Volodymyr Zelenskyy reveals the composition of the Ukrainian delegation that will travel to Saudi Arabia next week for talks with the United States. According to him, Ukraine will be represented at the talks with the United States scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, in Saudi Arabia by the head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Defense Minister Rustem Umierov, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa.
