Trump and Starmer talk ahead of US-Ukraine talks
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and U.S. President Donald Trump discussed by phone the expectations for negotiations with Ukraine in Saudi Arabia.

The British Prime Minister's spokesman emphasized: "Starmer expressed hope to Trump that the talks would end in a positive outcome that would allow for the resumption of US military assistance to Ukraine, as well as intelligence sharing.
At the same time, the UK Prime Minister told Trump that "UK officials spoke to Ukrainian officials over the weekend and they remain committed to a lasting peace."
"The two leaders also discussed the economic deal they talked about at the White House, and the Prime Minister welcomed the detailed conversations that have already taken place to take this forward. Both leaders agreed to stay in touch," the spokesman added.
