Russia presents US with list of demands for agreement to end war against Ukraine - Reuters

Russia has submitted its demands to the US to conclude an agreement to end the war and reset relations with Washington.
According to Censor.NET, Reuters reported this with reference to two people familiar with the matter.
It is not known what exactly Moscow has included in its list of demands and whether it is ready to hold peace talks with Kyiv before these demands are accepted.
According to the interlocutors, Russian and American officials have been discussing these demands in face-to-face and virtual conversations over the past three weeks. They described the Kremlin's demands as broad and similar to those previously made to Ukraine, by the United States and NATO.
These previously announced demands included a renunciation of Ukraine's NATO membership, an agreement not to deploy foreign troops in Ukraine, and international recognition of the Crimea and four Ukrainian regions as belonging to Russia. In recent years, Russia has also demanded that the United States and NATO remove what it calls the ‘root causes’ of the war, including NATO's eastward expansion.
US President Donald Trump is awaiting an answer from Vladimir Putin on whether he will accept a 30-day ceasefire, which Ukraine has agreed to accept if Russia does so as well. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called it the first step towards peace talks.
Putin's attitude to a potential ceasefire agreement is still uncertain, as its details have not yet been finalised. Some US officials, lawmakers and experts fear that Putin will use the ceasefire to intensify efforts to divide the US, Ukraine and Europe and undermine any negotiations.
As a reminder, the European Intelligence Service has gained access to a document outlining Russia's position on ending the war in Ukraine.
