Air defense destroyed more than 850 enemy air targets in week - Air Force
During the week of March 10-16, the air defense of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed more than 850 enemy air attack vehicles.
This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.
In particular, they destroyed:
- 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile;
- 515 attack UAVs of the Shahed type;
- 170 reconnaissance UAVs;
- 172 other types of UAVs.
In addition, it is noted that the Air Force aviation carried out more than 160 sorties during the week, including
- about 40 - for fire damage and air support of troops;
- more than 80 - for fighter air cover.
The Air Force pilots also carried out dozens of air strikes on enemy positions, using aircraft bombs and missiles of various types. Command posts, logistics facilities, as well as places where enemy manpower and military equipment were concentrated were hit.
Over the past week, units of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Combined Arms Rifle Brigade of the Air Force conducted 440 combat sorties, including:
- 327 reconnaissance sorties using UAVs;
- 113 sorties for the use of drops and FPV drones.
It is noted that as a result of this, the enemy's combat losses are approximately
- about 80 people;
- 19 enemy shelters and positions.
