Zelenskyy signs law on sending Armed Forces units abroad during martial law

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law on certain issues of sending units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to other countries during martial law.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the parliament's website.
The law stipulates that under martial law, formations, military units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may be sent abroad to:
- ensuring national security,
- repelling and deterring armed aggression,
- protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,
- exercising the right to self-defence in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
The document was finalised in line with the President's proposals, which clarify the decision-making procedure for sending units abroad, detail the procedure for their stay outside Ukraine and ensure compliance with international standards.
As a reminder, on 15 January, the Verkhovna Rada passed a bill that allows the deployment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to other countries during martial law.
