Putin and Trump to talk about "Ukrainian settlement" - Kremlin

Trump neither denied nor confirmed conversations with Putin

The Kremlin is preparing some talking points for a conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, in particular, on the settlement of the war against Ukraine.

This was announced by Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov, as quoted by the Russian media, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, the issues on the agenda of Russian-American relations are being worked out before Trump's phone call with Putin. The first of them is the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"Certain topics that are on the agenda are prepared as a standard... These are issues that are relevant at the moment, and mainly, of course, the issue of the Ukrainian settlement. The President will be prepared with theses," Peskov said.

The Kremlin spokesman also said how long it took to coordinate the conversation between Putin and Trump.

"Such conversations can be coordinated very quickly," he added.

To recap, the Kremlin confirmed that Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will have a conversation on March 18.

Earlier, Reuters reported that Trump plans to speak with Putin on March 18.

US special envoy Steve Witkoff also said that a conversation between the American and Russian leaders could take place this week.
