Zelenskyy and Macron coordinate positions ahead of Trump-Putin conversation

Volodymyr Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron have coordinated our positions on the eve of the conversation between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin.

Zelenskyy said this in a video address, Censor.NET reports.

The President emphasized that tomorrow marks a week since America's proposal for silence in the sky, at sea and at the front.

"This proposal could have been implemented long ago. Every day in war is a human life. It has been almost a week now that it is obvious to absolutely everyone in the world - even those who have not wanted to admit the truth for three years - that it is Putin who continues and prolongs this war. It is Putin who has been unable to squeeze out a "yes" in response to the offer of silence for a week now. He is saying anything but what the whole world wants to hear right now. The unconditional offer of ceasefire - in fact, the saving of lives - so that diplomats can work to ensure security and a lasting peace - is the offer that Russia is ignoring. Pressure is needed to finally make Moscow realize that their war must end," he emphasized.

As a reminder, the Kremlin confirmed that Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will have a conversation on March 18.

Earlier, Reuters reported that Trump plans to speak with Putin on March 18.

US special envoy Steve Witkoff also said that the conversation between the American and Russian leaders could take place this week.

The Kremlin is preparing some talking points for a conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, including the settlement of the war against Ukraine.
