"Lyiut" robotic system has been officially adopted into service – Ministry of Defense
A domestically produced ground robotic complex "Liut" (Fury) has been put into operation in the Defense Forces.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense, Censor.NET reports.
The complex is designed to perform a wide range of tasks in difficult conditions. In particular, for surveillance and fire support of our units.
The Lyiut robotic system has been tested in real combat conditions. The robot is armed with a 7.62mm machine gun and additional equipment that enables it to detect and engage targets both during the day and at night. Ground Robotic Complex (GRC) is compact enough to fit in the back of a military pickup truck and is equipped with a silent electric motor. Its battery capacity allows for an extended operating time. The GRC also has a relatively high ground clearance, ensuring stable movement across rough and uneven terrain. The Lyiut functions across a wide temperature range.
The operator controls the system from a protected position, minimizing exposure to danger. 'The primary role of ground-based robotic systems is to enhance our units and replace soldiers in the most hazardous areas,' the Ministry of Defense explained.
