Ukraine can rely on Europe; we will not let down – Scholz

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized their continued support for Ukraine.

"The next meeting of the European Council will once again be devoted to the question of how we, Europeans, can together confront the challenges of the war that is raging with great violence in Ukraine. Ultimately, the question is how we can further strengthen Europe's defense capabilities. We both agree that Ukraine can rely on us," Scholz said during a joint media statement with Macron.

The chancellor assured that Ukraine can rely on Europe, adding that "we will not let it down."
